About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Services Support Representative provides administrative support to the Billing and Enrolment team. The incumbent must work well independently and work well in a team environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes enrolments and changes ensuring all enrollment procedures are properly followed and production standards are met
Reviews daily and monthly reports
Completes memos
Processes, maintains and validates pre-authorized debit direct deposit information
Forwards coordination of benefits information to appropriate department
Maintains the procedures
Maintains disability log and waiver of premium spreadsheets
Assists in reviewing/processing daily and monthly underwriting reports
Prepares letters requesting medical evidence
Requests medical information (Paramedicals, Attending physician statements etc.)
Assists in actioning decisions from the medical underwriter
Assists in tracking case progress and activity in Excel
Prepares letters to clients regarding medical underwriting decisions
Reviews annually all claimants at EI index adjustment
Updates take over amounts on new groups
Attends and participates in meetings
Identifies opportunities for process efficiency improvements and recommends process changes
Filing
Provide backup to all Client Services Support roles
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Preference will be given to applicants who have completed some post-secondary education. An equivalent combination of education and 1-2 years’ experience in an office environment may be considered
Above average verbal and written communication skills
Previous administrative experience an asset
Dedicated to the principles of exceptional service, committed to responding to, anticipating, and addressing customer needs, for both internal and external customers
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deal with all levels within the organization in a team environment and external customers.
Self-directed, with exceptional organizational skills and a proven record of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks within varied and dynamic timelines on an ongoing basis.
Thorough knowledge of office productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and various reporting and database applications.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Capable of completing industry education programs entailing self-directed study and the writing of graded examinations. Specific programs include but are not limited to LOMA, CEBS, and ICA. Discipline-specific study may be required in areas such as accounting, credit management, communication, etc. Enrollment in, and completion of, such courses will be encouraged.
