This course delves into the basics of adult learning. Gain insights into designing training programs that enable adult learners to succeed and advance their skills.

What you will learn:


Introduction to Adult Learning – We have to train them? 

  • explore the fundamentals of adult learning to create training designed to ensure learner success.


Needs Assessment – What do they need to know?  

  • how to determine what needs to be included in new hire programs, refresher training, and new product, service or systems training            

 

Designing Learning – Create engaging, effective experiences.         

  • learn how to put together a program that meets the needs of all stakeholders. 

 

Evaluation – How do we know they got it? Are they using it?          

  • an introduction to Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels of evaluation and the importance of each level. 

 

Facilitation skills – Not just reading a PowerPoint 

  • Learn how to deliver training in a more productive and effective manner.


What you will gain:


At the end of this series, you will be able to:

  • Describe the principles of Adult Learning

  • Explain the importance of using Adult Learning Theories when delivering training 

  • Describe the characteristics of adult learners

  • Identify Kolb’s Learning Styles

  • List the characteristics of VAK learning styles

  • Identify your training style

  • Complete a training action plan to incorporate adult learning and learning styles theory into your training program
