The opportunity


The Insurance Administrator, Bilingual provides excellent customer service through the timely and accurate processing of insurance policies and vehicle registrations, including renewals, cancellations, and expirations, as well as maintain excellent interdepartmental relationships.


The day-to-day


Attention to detail. Customer service excellence. Highly accountable.


  • Verify assets are insured and registered as per requirements

  • Review and process external polices to ensure coverage as per requirements

  • Update Felix to reflect correct coverage

  • Follow up with insurance agents and lessees to obtain corrections to insurance policies that do not meet lease requirements

  • Review insurance cancellations and contact customer and/or insurance agent to follow for new policy

  • Escalate insufficient coverage issues to Collections following appropriate procedures

  • Collect confirmation of insurance on asset ineligible for Loss Damage Waiver program

  • Process insurance letters, insufficient insurance notices, and final notices as required

  • Respond to customer inquiries

  • Maintain Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) program on eligible leases, starting, removing, or restarting program as applicable throughout the life of a lease

  • Quote Loss Damage Waiver Fees & Implement early start of Loss Damage Waiver Fees on requests

  • Prepare LDW start or restart notices as required

  • Approve credit of up to 6 months Loss Damage Waiver Fees at discretion

  • Coordinate refunds to customers where applicable and apply Loss Damage Waiver credits to appropriate billings

  • Prepare Power of Attorney documents for vehicle registrations upon customer requests, understanding all provincial nuances

  • Review and accept registration documents

  • Follow up for terminated registration in applicable provinces

  • Communicate with provincial registry offices to assist in the registration of assets

  • Understanding of Business Origination Policy Manual policies as they pertain to insurance

  • Act as a collaborative team player focused on process improvement, relationship building, and open communication


Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from


  • Post secondary education or equivalent work/training experience

  • General Insurance Essentials Course completion or equivalent insurance industry courses are considered an asset

  • 2+ years of customer service or office administration experience

  • Prior insurance industry experience considered an asset

  • Bilingual (French/English) language skills are required
