About the Role
Overview:
As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing our biweekly payroll (hourly, salary, contract) for both our Canadian and US employees and serving as a point of contact for questions about pay policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payrolls using ADP for 200+ employees (US and Canada)
Ensure all timesheets have the appropriate approvals and sign-offs from team leaders/managers prior to processing payroll
Responding to payroll-related employee training, questions, and inquiries
Process ROEs, account reconciliations, and government remittances
Process new hires, leaves, terminations, salary adjustments, and bonuses
Process benefit reconciliations in payroll
Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
Working closely with Human Resources and Accounting in the delivery of essential payroll and benefits services
Staying informed on changing Canadian and US payroll laws
Process and prepare T4’s, and W2’s.
Research and creation of biweekly payroll reporting packages for users (can be in the form of an audit log, payroll registers, labour reports, and payroll by location reports)
Assist in implementation of GLI module in ADP
Reconcile vacaton accruals
Other administrative duties as required
