Women In Leadership 2024 - Women RISING

Updated: Sep 26

To become leaders, individuals need to adopt a leadership identity and cultivate a sense of purpose. Leadership is demonstrated through intentional actions, like organizing a meeting to revitalize a stagnant project.

As a person's leadership skills develop and opportunities to showcase them increase, they are more likely to receive high-profile, challenging tasks and other endorsements from the organization. This validation provides the individual with the courage to venture beyond their comfort zone and try out unfamiliar behaviors and new approaches to leadership.

Join us on October 22, 2024 as we celebrate Women RISING. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Our Guest Speakers -

Here are three actions we recommend to promote women's access to leadership positions:

  1. Provide education to both women and men on gender bias,

  2. Establish secure "identity workspaces" to facilitate transitions into more significant positions, and

  3. Ground women's development initiatives in a sense of leadership mission rather than focusing on perceptions.

These actions will give women insight into themselves and their organizations, enabling them to more effectively chart a course to leadership.

By engaging in these actions, women will embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment. They will gain a profound understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and unique qualities, allowing them to harness their full potential as leaders.

Furthermore, by delving deep into the dynamics of their organizations, women will cultivate a strategic perspective that is essential for navigating the complexities of leadership roles.

Through this process, women will not only enhance their individual leadership capabilities but also contribute to the overall success and growth of their organizations. By fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity, they will pave the way for a more equitable and dynamic workplace environment. Ultimately, these actions will not only empower women to ascend to leadership positions but also inspire a new generation of leaders who are driven by purpose, vision, and integrity.
