Celebrating People, Process and performance

Since 1999, the Manitoba Customer Contact Association (MCCA) has honored the Manitoba Excellence in Customer Contact Achievement (MECCA) Awards. This awards program aims to acknowledge outstanding achievements and foster pride within the Customer Contact Centre Industry. Annually, we celebrate organizations and their teams that represent the pinnacle of excellence in our field.

People Award Categories

1

Representative of the Year

This award recognizes an employee who has demonstrated a positive contribution to customer service, their workplace environment, performance management, and the community.

2

Leader of the Year

This award recognizes a management team member who has demonstrated leadership by having a positive effect on the workplace and/or community which has impacted company performance.

3

Support Award

This award recognizes a support group or individual (non front-line representatives) who has made a substantial contribution to your business and/or your employees. These are the unsung heroes who work behind the scenes to support teams.

As a member in good standing with MCCA, you qualify for two complimentary submissions. Ensure all submissions are completed by December 19, 2025. Any additional submissions will require a fee as specified on the application form. 

Non members are also invited to join this annual recognition program. To obtain a fee schedule, contact events@mcca.mb.ca for more details.

Volunteer of the Year Award

Partners in good standing can nominate up to 5 volunteers that have gone above and beyond their normal duties and had a significant impact to their community.

Alan Sauvé Award

This award recognizes a person who exemplifies a positive outlook and attitude at work, home and in the community.
 

The following list of attributes is intended to help you identify the type of individual who may qualify for this award:

  • Self-motivated

  • Team player

  • Seeks learning opportunities for self improvement

  • Positive member of the community and workplace

  • Gives of themselves without expectation of personal gain

  • Open to new perspectives and willing to try new ideas

Team of the Year Award

This award recognizes individual teams (for example: sales, escalations, customer experience) that are truly exceptional and have demonstrated a positive contribution to customer service, their workplace environment, performance management, and the community. This category only applies to teams found in the Centre.

Community

This award recognizes outstanding voluntary contributions made by contact centres to the citizens of Manitoba between December 1, 2023 -November 30, 2024. The award recipient is selected for demonstrating tremendous spirit and enriching both their workplace and their community. *Virtual judging will take place between January 6 - 17, 2025.

02.

Health and Wellness

This award recognizes contact centres that help their employees enhance their personal and professional lives through a wide-ranging wellness program. *Virtual judging will take place between January 6 - 17, 2025.

03.

People's Choice

MCCA's People's Choice Award for Manitoba’s Favourite Company for Customer Service will be chosen through public vote.

Applying is free, and you can boost your chances of winning by submitting applications for multiple categories! Ensure all applications are filled out and submitted by December 19, 2025.

Innovation

This award recognizes contact centres that have employed new or enhanced technology, processes, social media, reporting and/or organizational change in order to improve their customer and/or employee experience. *Virtual judging will take place between January 6 - 17, 2025.

05.

Employee Engagement

This award recognizes contact centres where employee surveys boast of job accomplishment and career fulfillment.

A link will be sent to you to distribute to your team on January 6, 2025 and will remain open until end of day January 17, 2025.

06.

Training and Performance

This award recognizes contact centres that demonstrate a dedication to developing the skills of its workforce and that provide opportunities for Industry advancement and future growth. *Virtual judging will take place between January 6 - 17, 2025.
